Piedmont Walton is a not-for-profit, 77-bed acute care hospital in Monroe, Georgia, and the only hospital in the rapidly growing and diverse Walton County.
Piedmont Walton has developed a culture of teamwork and efficiency, while providing exemplary care to its patients. In 2023 the Walton ED maintained an overall average length of stay of 137 mins, ranking second in its system of more than 20 hospitals. Walton leads by example in regard to throughput metrics, utilizing the super track model and a deep-rooted philosophy that patients don’t wait in the waiting room. Walton is a Level III Trauma center and a designated Stroke Center.
Piedmont Walton Emergency Department is proud and honored to be a 2024 ENA Lantern Award Recipient. The 15-bed ED, comprised of one trauma, one pediatric critical care, two resuscitation and 11 adult rooms, the ED saw more than 45,000 patient visits last year.
