Health Dr. P. Phillips Hospital was the first facility built by the hospital system outside of its downtown Orlando footprint. For more than 35 years, the 48-bed ED’s team of physicians, nurses, clinicians, and medical professionals have been committed to delivering quality and compassionate care.

Quality and safe care has always been a priority, as evidenced by work surrounding decreasing ED exits, reducing occupational stress to support a healthy work environment, using patient surveys to improve wait times and cleanliness, and enhancing access to stroke care in the community by obtaining The Joint Commission accreditation as a Primary Stroke Center.

The ED team has worked diligently to create a culture of accountability, teamwork, trust and family. This could not have been achieved without each one of the team members. The team is excited to showcase its collaboration and commitment to patients with the honor of being designated an ENA Lantern Award recipient.
