satisfaction. Hourly updates are given to ensure clear and consistent communications between providers, nurses, patients, and families. White board usage helps communicate care plans and updates visibly to patients and families. Whiteboards are updated to includes key information, attending physician, nurse, paramedic, resident, pain score and any other relevant notes during each round. Hourly rounding is very intentional, increasing accountability.
The team also worked to provide structure and a predictable care environment to improve overall patient and family experience by bundling care to minimize disturbances. Care is streamlined by grouping activities together like vital signs, medication administration, repositioning, tests during hourly rounds. This initiative will help reduce patient anxiety and improve overall experience.
