sees more than 63,000 visits annually The ED includes specialized trauma rooms designed for different levels of care depending on the severity of the injury.

A new Fast TrackER system in an adjacent area near the ED helps care for non-emergent patients that are seen and released without long wait times. Additionally, a dedicated CT room inside the ED improves access and speed for advanced imaging, and portable digital X-ray equipment allows imaging services to come directly to the patient.

The Level 3 trauma center is certified as a Heart Attack and Stroke Center by The Joint Commission, and the emergency department has achieved top employee engagement scores, dramatically improved door-to-balloon times for cardiac emergencies and earned a second-time Magnet designation from the American Nursing Credentialing Center for excellence in nursing with 12 exemplary findings.

The ED staff has implemented numerous operational process improvements to enhance the patient experience, expedite throughput, and allow clinicians to address patients quickly. The emergency department consistently achieves nationally recognized top decile results in staff engagement, physician satisfaction, and patient satisfaction.
