Methodist ER Alamo Heights, an eight-bed free-standing emergency center, proudly serves its namesake community with a mission to provide exceptional and affordable healthcare that is accessible to all, guided by the principle of serving humanity to honor God. Each year, the ED cares for more than 14,000 patients, maintaining a top-tier standard of care since it was established in 2015. The center received the Press Ganey Guardians of Excellence Award in 2016 and 2023.

Its quality initiatives include improving door-to-ECG response times for chest pain cases, enhancing provider greet times, and reducing patient departures before medical screening.
