In addition to providing superior emergency care, ChristianaCare has been recognized for making transformative changes to how emergency care is delivered. By putting the patient first and rethinking old models of how patients and medical staff interact in the emergency room, ChristianaCare has achieved dramatic advances in efficiency, which means shorter wait times and a better experience for patients.
ChristianaCare’s Wilmington Hospital campus has served the community for nearly 125 years, meeting diverse medical needs and providing a safety net for people in underrepresented communities.
The Wilmington Hospital Emergency Department is honored to receive the Lantern Award.
