voluntary turnover rate of just 6.83 percent, demonstrating strong engagement, connection and commitment among team members. By focusing on both the patient and caregiver experience, Lake Mary has built a department where people feel valued, supported and proud to serve their community.

The team has made patient flow and access to timely care a key priority, with a focused effort on direct bedding and front-end throughput. The direct-bedding process has helped move patients from arrival to an appropriate treatment space efficiently, with median door-to-bed time improving from six minutes early in the year to five minutes and remaining consistently at that level. These efforts have supported a strong overall patient flow strategy, including a 12-minute median door-to-provider time and a left-without-being-seen rate that declined steadily throughout the year, reaching zero in December 2025. Together, these results demonstrate the 24-bed department’s commitment to reducing barriers to care, improving the patient experience and ensuring patients are seen and treated as efficiently as possible.
