comforting room environment. As the official health care provider of the Walt
Disney World Resort, this AdventHealth facility incorporated Disney-inspired
elements to provide a calming, anxiety-reducing design for the department.
Patients can personalize their rooms by adjusting lighting, selecting music or
viewing tranquil sea scenes accompanied by soothing sounds and familiar
Disney characters.
The department’s comprehensive onboarding model underscores the importance of every team member’s role in delivering high-quality patient care. The direct bedding process, facilitated by nursing and ancillary teams, enables prompt registration, triage and bedside evaluation by a provider upon arrival. Collaboration and communication among team members support efficient throughput times that exceed national benchmarks. Patient experience ratings consistently remain above the 90th percentile.
