AdventHealth Celebration Hospital Adult Emergency Department
AdventHealth Celebration Adult Emergency Department is located in the heart of central Florida, an area of high tourist volume.
A primary initiative in the emergency department is to provide care as soon as patients arrive. In 2024, after seeing nearly 60,000 patient visits, the department ended the year with a left-without-being-seen rate of 0.8 percent, well below the national average. That success was due in large part to “super track” processes to expedite low acuity patients, moving patients through the ED more quickly. These changes in turn have led to improved patient experience.
In addition to patients, the department also cares for its team members. There are comprehensive resources to reduce workplace stress, while also supporting a healthy lifestyle among caregivers in the ED. These includes wellness programs such as health screenings, nutritional counseling and fitness center access. Mental health support is provided through consultants and the Lyra app, which offers 24/7 access to services. Additionally, the campus provides healthy cafeteria options and a “freight farm” for fresh produce in the food pantry. These unique resources reflect a commitment to employee well-being.
