Staff use neighboring care spaces to provide emergency care when needed and have a refined transportation process for swift admission to a nearby children’s hospital. The department’s partnerships with local 911 centers have improved paramedic training on pediatric emergencies.
Beyond emergency care, the team promotes safe swim initiatives through community education and social media campaigns and has been recognized for its exceptional care for pediatric patients during submersion-related injuries.
