The UF Health Jacksonville Emergency Department is a key contributor to several of the organization’s centers of excellence, including a Level I trauma center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Accredited Chest Pain Center. Highlights from the UF Health Jacksonville ED Lantern Award application include an initiative to mitigate workplace violence, medication safety improvements, an Academic Partnership Unit to mentor nursing students, supporting a healthy lifestyle through a staff-led B+ Committee, an ED new nurse fellowship program, and professional development programs encompassing mentorship and formal succession planning.
