Team Award

Texas ENA Conference Planning Committee
Recognizes a group or committee that has made a significant contribution toward achieving ENA’s mission to advance excellence in emergency care through the development of a sustainable project or program.
A multi-disciplinary team consisting of members from the Texas State ENA Professional Education Conference Planning Committee and Rio Bravo Chachalacas ENA Chapter, as well as community social workers, EMS, physicians, school districts and educators collaboratively delivered much-needed, evidence-based education through “Breaking Waves,” a hybrid pediatric emergency mental health conference.
In response to a mass school shooting in the state, the Texas ENA Conference Planning Committee, in partnership with Texas ENA, extended free conference registration to all hospital employees who provided compassionate care to the victims in the year following the tragedy.
The Texas ENA Conference Planning Committee continues to deliver evidence-based education to emergency nurses and health care professionals. This impactful experience inspired the local ENA chapter to begin sponsoring conferences of its own, further advancing educational opportunities within the community.
