emergency nursing within the area of education and clinical practice with expertise in pre-hospital care. He has dedicated his 40-year career to bridging the critical gaps between prehospital response, trauma systems and emergency nursing practice. As a visionary leader in education, leadership and prehospital preparedness, Weinman has uniquely integrated clinical expertise with system-level innovation to improve survivability during high-consequence events. By operationalizing the rescue task force concept and hemorrhage control protocols at the municipal and county levels, he strengthened the clinical nexus where emergency nurses interface with public safety agencies.

Beyond operational leadership, he has left an indelible mark on the specialty’s body of knowledge through extensive scholarship and editorial mentorship of countless emerging authors. In doing so, Weinman shaped the evidence-based research that guides national practice standards. His prolific contributions include 18 scholarly articles and 10 textbook chapters, paired with the creation of “The Trauma Geek,” an international virtual platform connecting global clinicians with renowned trauma scholars. Weinman’s enduring legacy is rooted in his commitment to professional growth and educational excellence. Having trained thousands of providers and served as a national instructor for advanced tactical and trauma courses, he has built a scalable infrastructure that ensures a more prepared, resilient and evidence-driven emergency nursing workforce. Weinman is the trauma research and education program coordinator at St Joseph’s University Medical Center.
