Southwest General is a private, not-for-profit, 350-bed acute care facility located in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. Founded in 1920, the hospital is home to nationally-recognized physicians, advanced technology, and a full range of medical, surgical and emergency services.

The hospital’s 40,000-square-foot emergency department provides care for both adult and pediatric patients. The state-of-the-art facility is fully equipped to provide high quality, efficient emergency medical care for day-to-day needs as well as for large emergent events.  For those suffering severe traumatic injuries, Southwest General’s Trauma Service is verified by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma as a Level III trauma center. Additionally, the hospital is designated as a Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission and is recognized as an ANCC Pathway to Excellence organization for its nurses and outstanding patient care.
