The Nursing Practice and Professionalism Award recognizes a nurse who exemplifies outstanding nursing practice as demonstrated through clinical skills, care, and compassion. This nurse is recognized by peers as an expert in emergency nursing and consistently exhibits traits associated with professional behavior and commitment to professional values. This individual may demonstrate outstanding commitment to a specialty population such as pediatrics or older adults within the specialty of emergency nursing.

Nicole S. Beebe, a clinical practice specialist at Northwestern Medicine Huntley, leads high-impact education across emergency care, teaching EMT, ACLS, PALS, trauma and pediatric programs that strengthen clinical competence, improve patient outcomes and foster a culture of lifelong learning. She serves as a trusted mentor who develops confident, capable emergency nurses and future leaders.

For more than two decades, she has demonstrated excellence in emergency nursing and as a clinical practice specialist. She has advanced evidence-based care, standardizing best practices and improving patient safety. Beebe is recognized as a knowledgeable leader who promotes compassionate, competent care. She bridges policy and bedside care while advocating for patients, staff and professional accountability.

An ENA member since 2021, she plans to obtain an MSN in leadership and management this year.
