Michael Ganz, BS, EMT-P, of Texas
Behind the Scenes Award
The Behind the Scenes Award recognizes individuals who are often seen but not heard and who donate countless hours to assist ENA members in achieving local, state, association or global goals and in promoting ENA’s mission to lead the advancement of excellence and innovation in emergency nursing.

Michael Ganz, BS, EMT-P
As a high school health teacher with the Pearland Independent School District and an affiliate member of Texas Gulf Coast ENA, Ganz has dedicated himself to sharing knowledge gained from decades of health care experience with his students and community members.
Ganz helps the chapter hold CPR, first aid and Stop the Bleed courses. He encourages his high school students to attend chapter meetings and mentors those who continue into a health care field after high school. Beyond teaching the classes, he also recently coached a new instructor in the chapter to deliver a CPR, first aid, and Stop the bleed course for high school students who wanted the training for future health care roles and babysitting jobs.
Ganz has been an affiliate member of GCENA since 2018 and is also involved with the American Hospital Association.
