Linda Laskowski Jones has made significant and enduring contributions to emergency nursing, particularly in the areas of leadership and system care delivery. As a member of ENA for more than 30 years, her work has advanced the development of trauma systems not only in her home state, but across the United States – and beyond – to lay the groundwork for process and legislative change. Well-known as an educator, speaker and author, she is a dedicated nurse leader who actively contributes to numerous professional organizations outside of ENA. Jones serves on interprofessional teams and advisory boards where she consistently champions the voice of nursing and the importance of high-quality patient care.
A fellow in the American Academy of Nursing, she participates in the organization’s mentorship program. Her collaborative work includes partnerships with the American College of Surgeons, Delaware Organ and Tissue Donor Awareness Board and Wilderness Medical Society. Through her commitment to education, quality assessment and advocacy for collaborative practice, Jones’ enduring contribution is her pursuit of delivering the right care, at the right time, in the right place for everyone entrusted to the care of emergency nurses.
