As a dedicated nurse and leader, Kristin Malvik takes immense pride in mentoring and coaching fellow nurses to help them develop the skills and confidence needed to provide the highest quality of care to their patients. Malvik is ED manager at Texas Heath HEB Hospital, where she is known among her colleagues as a resource and team player not only for nurses but for the entire emergency department staff. She provided leadership and creative problem solving during the COVID-19 pandemic and was credited for leading a revamp of the front-end process in her department that resulted in lower left-without-being-seen rates. She has fostered a positive work culture and is appreciated for promoting interdisciplinary cohesiveness. Malvik served as a TNCC and ENPC instructor from 2013 to 2023.
