Jonathan P. Nover, MBA, RN
During his tenure as chair of the New York State Emergency Nurses Association Government Affairs Committee, Jonathan Nover was instrumental in the inaugural NYC ENA Legislative Summit and advancing landmark workplace violence legislation. The summit brought together more than 150 emergency nurses from health systems across New York City to learn about legislative advocacy, policy engagement and the role nurses play in shaping health care laws.
Additionally, the committee successfully supported passage of the New York State Workplace Violence Prevention Bill through coalition-building efforts with organizations including the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Nurses Association. These efforts included meetings with legislators; testimony and advocacy on the New York State Assembly floor; submission of memoranda of support to the Greater New York Hospital Association and elected officials; and mobilization to collect more than 500 emergency nurse signatures in support of the legislation.
Nover joined ENA as a member in 2008 and has chaired the NYSENA Government Affairs Committee since 2023.
