Inova Loudoun Hospital (ILH) has been serving Loudoun County, Virginia for over 100 years with the Inova Loudoun Hospital Children’s Emergency Room opening in 2006 to meet the needs of our growing community. It is part of Inova Health System, a not-for-profit healthcare provider with the mission to provide world-class healthcare – every time, every touch – to each person in every community we have the privilege to serve. ILH recently achieved its 3rd Magnet designation from the ANCC, it has received straight “As” from the Leapfrog Group for Patient Safety, Health Grades Patient Safety Excellence Award, and is Joint Commission Accredited.

Inova Loudoun Children’s ER in honored to receive the Lantern Award for the second consecutive time, in part due to their pioneering work creating the Sensory-Friendly ER initiative. Their advocacy and promotion of best practices in pediatric emergency care have included pediatric readiness training at partnered free-standing ERs and their commitment to disseminating their research and evidence-based practice projects.

Inova Loudoun Hospital would like to congratulate the Children’s Emergency Room for receiving top performance recognition from the Emergency Nurses Association. Their teamwork, pledge to high-quality care, compassion, and commitment to colleagues is what earned them the prestigious 2020 Lantern Award.
