As a Foundation scholarship award recipient several years ago, Bill understands the value of the educational opportunities the Foundation offers to all emergency nurses. This really hit home for him and started his path to helping all nurses with educational opportunities within the ENA Foundation. Besides the money in scholarships, he wanted to excel the mentorship that all the Foundation directors offer the ENA community. The vast knowledge and brain trust of these amazing members is an untapped resource that helped Bill and countless others excel as a professional emergency nurse. Witnessing this knowledge help so many nurses made it his mission to help advance the efforts of the Foundation. Bill continues to support the Foundation in his state council and through broader Foundation campaigns. This is not only a member effort, but a personal effort, too – one that encourages each member to demonstrate their commitment to the Foundation with a donation.

Diane has been an ardent supporter of the ENA Foundation since its inception. ENA was founded to provide education to emergency department nurses, and the Foundation provides financial support to help them achieve this goal. Being an early Foundation trustee sealed Diane’s dedication to the advancement of her colleagues and the emergency nursing specialty. She has put the “fun” in fundraising for 32 years by engaging members throughout the organization. As a result of Diane’s leadership and generosity, California ENA has embraced Foundation activities, as well as annually donating to the Judith Kelleher and 911 Endowed Scholarships for which she is profoundly proud and grateful.
