Barbara A. Foley Quality, Safety and Injury Prevention Award

Recognizes a nurse who has developed, implemented or advocated for quality, safety and/or injury prevention initiatives that have resulted in improved outcomes in the emergency care setting or at the local, state or national level.

Delfa S. Seto holds dual roles as the injury prevention and pediatric coordinator for the Trauma Service at UCI Health. As a Stop the Bleed instructor for the last five years, she’s taught 3,000 participants – approximately half being Orange County middle and high school students. Delfa has been a trauma nurse for 15 years and serves on multiple community organizations including the Orange County and California Emergency Nurses Associations, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and the Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force. Outside of her professional roles, she is a proud mom who enjoys doing anything and everything with her family, especially dancing and cooking, and spending her personal time listening to audiobooks, hiking and journaling.
