Dr. Bradley Goettl’s enduring and substantial contributions are in education and practice. Goettl developed an international emergency care conference in Vietnam, which was attended by hundreds of nurses and brought content to an area previously without. He has repeated the conference in consecutive years. Regarding practice, Goettl created the EmBrACE pathway – Emergent Breast Abnormality Care and Evaluation – which has led to appropriate emergency diagnosis of breast cancer combined with early treatment resulting in fewer emergent surgical consultations and fewer hospitalizations needed in this patient population. Goettl is inspired to bring both educational opportunities to international audiences and practice advancements for breast cancer survivors. Goettl is an adjunct assistant professor at the Universities of Texas – Houston and San Antonio and also serves as assistant director for the Office of Advanced Practice Providers at the University of Texas – Southwestern in Dallas, Texas.
