Lifetime Achievement Award

The Lifetime Achievement Award honors nurses whose career achievements reflect dedicated service, accomplishments or contributions to emergency nursing that have value to emergency nursing beyond the recipient’s lifetime.

For Beth Ann Manganaro, one of her proudest accomplishments was receiving the Clinical Excellence Award at the 2013 New Jersey ENA conference, followed by being named Nurse of the Year at Inspira in 2016. However, the most rewarding aspect of her long nursing career has been her role as a staff nurse and educator, precepting and mentoring new nurses in the emergency department. Witnessing their professional and clinical development into skilled emergency nurses and seeing them share their knowledge and expertise with other nurses represents her greatest achievement.

Manganaro is currently director of training for Sentinel Training group. In her part-time retirement role, she focuses on educating and mentoring nurses, as well as emergency medical personnel, including EMTs and paramedics. Her aim is to enhance their skills and promote their professional growth and development.

With two decades of experience as a provider for TNCC and ENPC, she dedicated the last 14 years to instructing these courses and has served as a director for the past eight years. Additionally, Manganaro has proudly represented her state as an ENA General Assembly delegate.
