Audrey Rosin, MBA, MSN, RN, CEN, CNML

Recognizes a nurse in an emergency nursing management role who has consistently demonstrated excellence in the specialty of emergency nursing and has made significant contributions.

A manager who leads by example and supports the wellbeing of her team, Audrey Rosin has provided stability through staffing challenges and an expansion project in her ED, as well as improved processes that resulted in better patient outcomes.

When she started as ED manager at Thedacare Regional Medical Center-Neenah in Wisconsin, Rosin personally took on shifts, secured travel contracts and offered incentives to fill scheduling holes – while also meeting with seasoned nurses to get to the root of the challenges to improve retention and morale. She implemented the Emergency Nurse Residency Program to develop new nurses and is an encouraging mentor.

Rosin worked across departments to improve processes and workflow, including work that led to the decreased rates of mortality of septic patients and of blood culture contamination. She standardized crash carts and policies across seven hospitals. During her unit’s expansion and remodel, she ensured the ED remained safe and welcoming, providing input to determine what new equipment and processes would work best. Rosin earned her MBA/MSN in 2018 from Grand Canyon University. She has been active with ENA, including serving on the ED operations committee and as Wisconsin State ENA’s Northeastern Wisconsin regional director.
