Overlook Medical Center’s Union Campus is a satellite ED located 12 miles from the main hospital’s acute care facility, located in Union, New Jersey, providing care to approximately 34,000 patients annually. The 20 bed full-service ED, provides 24/7 nationally-recognized care, including emergency and advanced cardiovascular care, with the administration of thrombolytic options, as well as comprehensive stroke care, using telemedicine and robotic services.

In 2023, Overlook Medical Center received Leapfrog Grade A for patient safety, as well as, receiving Healthgrades 2023 America’s 50 Best Hospitals Award™ which is a distinction for the top 1% nationwide for consistent superior clinical performance. Union Campus ED has the distinguished honor of receiving ENA’s Lantern Award for 5 consecutive cycles since its inception in 2011 and being the only ED globally to be recognized for excellence in practice and performance, five times in a row. Additionally, Overlook was recognized with achieving Newsweek World’s Best Hospital Distinction Award this year, including U.S. News Best Regional Hospital in the New York Metro Area.
