Bethesda Arrow Springs Emergency Department is a (14) bed free-standing facility in a rural community that serves over 17,000 patients annually, across the age spectrum. Team members at Bethesda Arrow Springs ED have a strategic orientation program that ensures the ability to recognize emergent situations and customize interventions prioritizing optimal patient outcomes. A robust shared leadership committee focuses on patient safety, ongoing quality improvement and the adherence to evidence-based practice care initiatives.
Bethesda Arrow Springs ED’s accomplishments include a progressive staffing plan, strong interprofessional learning program, utilizing human patient simulation educational principles, collaborative, county wide disaster planning, Joint Commission Stroke Ready designation and ANCC Magnet© recognition. Bethesda Arrow Springs is honored to have been selected for the third consecutive time as a Lantern Award recipient.
